Gearing Up – Workshop Mentor
Salary: £ 24,523.00 pro rata, plus other benefits
Status: substantive post
Hours of work: flexible 20 hours per week / over 2 – 3 days (option for job share)
Base: Gearing Up workshop, Brick Works, Wigan
Holidays; 22 days plus Bank Holidays , pro rata
Reports to: Training & Resource Manager
Liaises with: Brick staff teams and other mentors / supervisors

We now are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and inspirational Mentor to join our team, a believer in the right to equal life chances with a passion to improve lives through collaboration and innovation.
Do you want to enhance the lives of vulnerable individuals and help to encourage positive outcomes in their lives? The Brick, part of QHAP, are looking for a Workshop Mentor within our Bike refurbishment project. To work directly with its trainees and volunteers, supporting them to develop and gain a range of skills whilst doing meaningful work that will lead them into employment. Working in partnership with the local authority, The Brick are an instrumental partner in the development of an authority backed homelessness partnership that will lead the direction and focus to tackle homelessness across the Borough.
