JOB DESCRIPTION 

Job Title: Food Community and Engagement Team Lead (12-month contract to cover Maternity) 

Salary: £25,381 plus pension and other benefits.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (5 days) to include evenings and weekends to support the needs of the charity

Contract Length: 12 months

Holidays: 22 Days plus Bank Holidays

Base: Wigan Town Centre.

Responsible to: The Finance and Commercial Director

Accountable to: Queen’s Hall Action on Poverty Trustees

We are now looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and inspirational Food Community and Engagement Team Lead to join our team, a believer in the right to equal life chances with a passion to improve lives through collaboration and innovation.

The Food Community and Engagement Manager is a crucial role in the charity. The main aspect being to develop a co-operative style food community model for The Brick, ensuring access to affordable and nutritious food for everyone. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of food inventory, procurement, controls, and distribution. Your role will focus on the growth and sustainability of the Brick Food Community, through maximising relationships and adding value to create the best experience for our charity community. The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator, with an approachable nature who will play a vital role in developing and maintaining charity and retailer relationships, plus raising awareness of The Brick across the GM Network
