We wouldn’t be able to deliver our work to rebuild lives across the borough if it wasn’t for the vital support of our volunteers.
From sharing skills at the Brick Works, supporting our Crisis Intervention Service at the Brick Project to helping us to fundraise, there are plenty of ways you can get involved.
The Brick is always looking for new volunteers to bring different skills and qualities into the charity; no matter your circumstances and background are there is a volunteer role to suit you!

The Brick Shop is a charity shop selling donated goods, often to people on low incomes. The shop gives clothes free of charge to people referred by Wigan Council. The shop is one of the main hubs within its community.
The Brick Giving aims to put an end to poverty and homelessness in Wigan and Leigh. Our #BrickbyBrick campaign is working to raise £175,000 to purchase The Brick Works and make sure no one in our community is left behind.
The Brick is a small project that delivers big results for the community it serves. It offers services to people who are homeless, in poverty or facing debt crisis.
As its name suggests, it provides a safe, solid building block for people in crisis to begin to construct a new life and become valuable members of society.

Our Christmas market stall was a huge success and raised over £200 with a profit of £145.75! 🤩👏Residents made Christmas crafts and produced beautiful drawings and photographs to sell. Being part of a social enterprise was an incredible experience for our residents, they took pride in the fact people wanted to buy their work and gained transferable skills such as customer service, sales, and working out the prices and cost of stock. A huge thank you from our activities team Ros, Algie and Colin! We hope this will be the start of an ongoing social enterprise! #rebuildinglives #socialenterprise ... See MoreSee Less
