Amazon delivers Top Ten Toys to The Brick in time for Christmas

Hundreds of toys from Amazon’s Top Ten Toys list have been donated to The Brick by the Amazon toy train to spread some festive cheer in the run up to Christmas.

The Brick is part of The Multibank charity initiative – which was founded by former Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Amazon in 2022 – and seeks to meet the needs of families and individuals living in poverty. To date, the Multibank initiative has donated more than three million essential goods to help over 400,000 families, and currently operates in Scotland, Greater Manchester and Wales.

The toys were delivered to The Brick via a life-size toy train, bringing festive cheer to the staff and locals. The toys will then be distributed to families in need between now and Christmas. As well as pulling into station at The Brick, the Amazon toy train has already visited Felix’s Multibank in London and Faith in Families in Swansea, and is on track to reach other charities including The Big House Multibank in Fife.

Keely Dalfen, CEO of The  Brick said: “As Christmas approaches, for many families on the lowest incomes, festive gifts and treats are simply out of reach. Initiatives like The Multibank are a lifeline for families in need, and with Amazon’s generous help, we can extend our offer to include popular toys that will bring joy to so many this Christmas. At this time of year, we want to spread as much festive joy and ensure children are treated to a magical Christmas experience and we can only do this when we work together.”

The toys that have been donated include iconic franchises and family favourite brands, such as Hasbro’s Play-Doh Pizza Delivery Scooter Playset and the LEGO Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer Starship Building Toy, as well as other popular toys such as Asmodee’s Taco Cat card game, and Snackles surprise plushies by Zuru. Each charity will receive multiples of each toy from the list to help more children and families discover the joy of toys this festive season.

Amazon’s Top Ten Toys list offers a wide selection of quality products suited to children three years and over, with products starting from £9.99. Customers can shop this year’s hand-picked toys plus many more on Amazon to find the perfect gift, with fast, convenient delivery in the lead up to Christmas.
