Ashton Town AFC have raised a fantastic £500 for The Brick. The team challenged themselves to run the distance from Ashton Town AFC to Athens, a total of 3000km! During the lockdown period, first team members have been taking on the challenge and have raised money through sponsorship.
Club Chairman Mark Heyes commented,
‘It’s been a pleasure to support such a great charity that has a great influence on the Wigan Borough. Not only has it helped raise vital funds for them, but the Ashton to Athens challenge has also helped myself and the team with health and mindset in some very surreal times’.
