I am delighted to announce that Rugby League legend Shaun Edwards has decided to support our mission to rebuild lives across Wigan borough by becoming a patron for the charity.
Shaun is our first official patron and we’re honoured and excited to have a living Rugby league legend to help us to make sure no person is left behind in Wigan and Leigh.
Last month, I gave Shaun a tour of the Brick Works and he was really impressed with our work. Look out for upcoming fundraising events with Shaun’s support early 2018!
To mark the announcement, Shaun is launching our Text Donate appeal on Friday 1st September- we’re asking our wonderful supporters to donate £5 by text to help us to fund a hot shower and breakfast twice a week for a person in need.
