Temporary Night Shelter supports 57 people across the borough

A temporary night shelter is currently up and running in Wigan town centre to help people in the borough who face a night on the streets during the cold weather.

The shelter gives 15 people a bed for the night, along with an evening meal and breakfast. So far, the shelter has supported 57 people. All people who attend the shelter are encouraged to access The Brick’s wider one to one and group support services.

A permanent night shelter is due to open in Leigh in the Spring, and The Brick is currently recruiting volunteers to support the service.
