Role Title: Volunteer Gift Aid Champion
Responsible to: The Retail Team lead
Responsible for: Signing up donors for gift aid
Hours of Work: Between 4 and 21 hours per week
Location: The Brick Shop, 13 Railway Road, Leigh WN7 4AA
Main purpose of role
As the gift aid champion, you will be confident and friendly, greeting donors in the shop and helping sign up new donors for gift aid, helping support the charity through raising additional funds via gift aid, and ensuring the maximum amount can be claimed.
Key Tasks:
- Signing up new & existing donors for gift aid through Kudos or via paper agreements
- Identifying and labelling the donations with the correct donor ID
- Allocating Donor cards to new and existing donors
- Answering any gift aid related questions a donor may have
- Booking donor drops into our epos system, Kudos
- Actively promoting gift aid within the retail site
- Ensuring tagged donated items are then moved to the gift aid sorting area
Training and Support:
Induction training will be provided as well as ongoing training and support surrounding the gift aid process.

Knowledge, Skills & Qualities
- Gift aid knowledge desirable but not essential
- Good communication & listening skills
- Organised
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality
- Competent use of technology
- Friendly personality
