Brick Resources

Our resource team provides the necessary infrastructure for the charity to operate effectively, working across all operational areas the team covers the central core activities of finance, HR, properties and facilities management, volunteer recruitment, H&S, data, and impact management, bid writing, fundraising, and safeguarding.

Brick Resources is the cog that keeps the wheels turning. Our most important resource is our STAFF and VOLUNTEERS. We couldn’t do our vital work without them. Staff and volunteer engagement is at the forefront of everything we do and we are a Real Living Wage accredited employer, proud supporters of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter, and the recipient of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

Brick Resources supports the charity to make sure it runs smoothly across a variety of areas including finance, charity compliance, human resources, fundraising, logistics, and the development of internal processes and policies. Staff within Brick resources also help the CEO to ensure that the charity meets its legal and regulatory compliance requirements as well driving efficiencies across the organisation and supporting staff welfare. Brick Resources supports the charity to ensure processes are compliant and efficient. At the heart of what we do is supporting charity operations to focus on their mission delivery.

Chaplaincy

The Brick Chaplaincy team is here for those who would like us to be alongside them – staff, volunteers and the people we work with. We are here for people of all faiths and none. We will support specific religious requirements like observing festivals and dietary needs, having access to resources such as sacred scriptures or prayer/meditation tools, or connecting you with a place of worship like a church or mosque.

Chaplains offer an intentional presence characterised by listening, compassion, empathy, non-judgment and respect. People talk to us about many things, including:

  • Money worries
  • Trauma
  • Health concerns
  • Grief and loss
  • Addiction and recovery
  • Finding purpose, connection and community

Beyond The Brick the Chaplains promote the charity, raise awareness of justice issues in our communities, and collaborate with other agencies to improve our response to poverty and homelessness.
