The first Brick shop opened in 1977 on Gidlow Lane; our shops are one of the oldest parts of our charity.
The Brick Shops form a community hub where staff, volunteers, trainees and members of the public can meet and mingle. Our shops sell high-quality goods at affordable prices that have been generously donated by members of the public. Who knows what great bargains you can find at our shops!
True to the mission of The Brick our shops are dedicated to supporting people on a low income who may be facing the effects of poverty. That can be through referrals of furniture or essential household items or through reduced pricing on white goods and products.
We also offer training opportunities in retail, for people looking to develop work experience and build a C.V through our volunteering and training schemes. Qualifications in first aid, fire safety and safeguarding can all be gained through our programs.
